Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 22, 2026

At Drawbit, we believe that your ideas belong to you. We designed the product to keep your notes, diagrams, and collaboration data as private and controlled as possible.

Local-first storage

By default, your drawings are saved locally in your browser. We never see them.

Encrypted collaboration

When you collaborate, your data is encrypted before it leaves your device.

Zero-knowledge relay

Our servers relay encrypted data but cannot read or decrypt your diagrams.

Minimal analytics

We only collect anonymous usage data to improve the app, never personal content.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the minimum amount of information necessary to provide and improve Drawbit:

  • Account information: If you sign up for Drawbit Plus or Teams, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials.
  • Payment information: We use third-party payment processors such as Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number on our servers.
  • Usage data: We collect anonymous, aggregated telemetry data such as which tools are used most frequently to improve the product.

2. How Your Drawings Are Stored

Local workspaces:When you use Drawbit without signing in or creating a shared link, your data is stored entirely within your browser's local storage.

Collaboration and cloud: When you generate a shareable link or use Drawbit Teams, your drawing data is synchronized through our servers. In collaboration modes, the goal is to minimize what the server can see and keep the sensitive content encrypted where possible.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Drawbit service.
  • Process transactions and send related information, including confirmations and receipts.
  • Send technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support messages.
  • Respond to your comments, questions, and customer service requests.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We only share your information in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers: We share information with third-party vendors who need access to perform work on our behalf.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete your local drawings at any time by clearing your browser data or using the Clear Canvas option. If you have a Drawbit account, you can delete it at any time from your account settings.

6. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by revising the date at the top of the policy and, in some cases, we may provide additional notice.
